The University of Mpumalanga lists 30 November 2026 as the closing date for 2027 undergraduate and advanced diploma applications. Its listed closing date for honours, postgraduate diplomas, masters and doctoral applications is 30 January 2027. Applications opened on 1 June 2026.

Start with the programme, then the form

Read the official programme requirements before choosing what to apply for. The university allows a maximum of two programme choices in its application process. Its instructions request relevant certified identity and school qualification documents, and explain the online application and upload process. Use the university page for its current fees and payment instructions.

Compare your two choices carefully

Create a page for each intended programme. Write the subjects and results required, what the programme teaches, the likely study location and any questions you need the university to answer. This is a better comparison than choosing a course because its name sounds familiar.

Ask a trusted teacher to review the requirements alongside your results. Where an instruction is unclear, write one specific question for the university instead of sending an incomplete application and hoping it will be corrected later.

Keep a record you can actually use

Record your student or application number privately, the date you submitted, and the email address you used. Keep screenshots of completed steps in a separate folder from the documents you uploaded. Check that contact details remain accessible after school ends.

Accommodation needs a separate check: do not assume that applying for a programme automatically reserves a room. Make a simple follow-up calendar for admission, residence and funding. The dates may differ, and progress in one process does not settle the others.
